What is the easiest way to lose my tummy fat?

by admin on November 27, 2009

Many of us have that spare tire, or love handles, whatever you want to call it, and we want to lose that tummy fat easily and fast, but unfortunately there is no quick fix for this. It has probably taken you years to develop all that fat, and it definitely will not disappear overnight, without surgery. However, there are ways that you can reduce that tummy fat, while staying healthy, and without using diet pills or drugs.

The best way to lose tummy fat is slowly, the same way you built it, so don’t get your hopes up of a drastic reduction of fat in just a few days. However, the sooner you start working on the weight loss, the sooner you will achieve it, so start now!

Cardiovascular exercises are recommended as part of a healthy lifestyle as well as to lose that obstinate tummy fat. This doesn’t mean a leisurely stroll round the block, it means really working hard for 15 to 20 minutes five days each week, and working so that your heartbeat is raised significantly. Before starting any exercise like this, you need to check with your doctor first to make sure it is safe for you to do so, and check about whether the diet you are suggesting is also a wise move for you. The type of exercise should be something you enjoy doing, perhaps aerobic dancing, or swimming, jogging or fast walking, using an exercise bike, or a ski machine, or do a variety of these during the week so that you don’t get bored with it all.

Now, building muscle mass is a good thing to do, as muscles need energy to work, and so burn calories for us. They burn them more efficiently, and at the same time they reduce the amount of our stored body fat, which is precisely what we want to do.

As regards abs workouts, there are various exercises you can do to strengthen the abdominals, but there are also different reports about how successful these are for strengthening backs etc. The latest report I heard was that abs workouts are not good for backs at all.

Perhaps the best ting is to do abdominal workouts in moderation. Many want to achieve that ripped abs look, but for that to happen, you probably need to lose some of the fat covering your abs, so that your muscle can be defined, so make sure you do a cardio workout to start losing your stomach fat.

Now, exercising is not the only thing you can do to lower the amount of stomach fat that you have. What you eat also has a big impact on your fat loss. You need to eat healthily, by eating fruits and vegetables, eating some protein found in meats, fish and poultry, as well as some healthy fats found in nuts like almonds and hazelnuts.

But do not overeat, many of us eat way more than our body’s actually need, hence the large number of large tummies around! Try to eat more fruits and vegetables in volume than meat, and try to make the meat lean, or eat fish or poultry which is better for you. On your plate, roughly 2/3 of it should be vegetables, and one third protein, which is different to what a lot of us eat actually eat. Salads are good for you, provided you don’t overdo the dressings and add too many calories that way.

Another thing to try is to reduce the stress in your life. Now this isn’t always possible, but exercising might help you with this. And sleeping more will help too, Being overtired can cause irritability and a lack of concentration, which means perhaps you are making more mistakes at work, which means you can easily build up a backlog of work, which causes stress, and so the circle continues. So get more sleep, you will feel better, and by sleeping more, you actually have less time to eat too!

By doing all of these things, you will start to lose your tummy fat, and by continuing with this plan, your weight will continue to reduce, especially if you are exercising more, and eating less.
