What is the fastest way to lose body fat?

by admin on November 27, 2009

If you are like most people who are overweight, you’ll have tried lots of different diets and methods to try to lose body fat in your quest to lose weight, yet you are still out there looking for another method. This tells you that a lot of the programs out there are not working for many people. Sure they do work for some, but not the majority.

However, there are some things you can do to help you lose body fat, some of which you are probably using already. For example, we all know we should drink plenty of water, about 8 glasses, the 8 ounce size, so in other words, some 64 ounces of water is a good thing to drink each day, and if you make it cold water, then your body uses up some calories warming it to the same temperature as the rest of your body.

Now this doesn’t use up a lot of calories, but every few will add up and help overall.

You need to eat regularly, starting with a good breakfast. By eating 5 times a day, you never give yourself the chance to get hungry, so you will eat fewer calories, and so lose some of that body fat. Some people eat more often, by reducing the size of their main meals, so that they can have mid-morning, mid-afternoon and evening snacks, and they find that that works really well. Obviously with this approach to fat loss, you have to make sure that your meals are much smaller, and that you don’t eat too many calories over the period of the day.

It is easier to lose body fat if you eat a diet high in fibre. This means eating plenty of plant foods, as this is where fibre is found. The fibre cannot be digested by our bodies, so it just passes through the body, but on its way to being eliminated from the body, it does pick up some of the protein and fat and that is eliminated too. Fibrous foods are generally lower calories, and they are usually more filling too, so they really are a good food to eat. What foods are high fibre? Broccoli, apples, figs, bran, chickpeas, beans, and nuts are good foods to eat for their fibre, and also oatmeal, which contains soluble fibre.

The next thing you need to eat may sound rather odd. You need to make sure that you have good fats in your diet. So you need to eat fat to get rid of fat. Oily fish like salmon, mackerel, herrings and sardines are good for you because they have in them essential fatty acids which actually help you burn body fat more efficiently, as well as protect you from disease. Animal fats are not good for you, and you should reduce these as much as possible, and that means reducing the amount of butter you eat, as well as changing from 2% or whole milk to 1% milk or even skim milk whcih has even less animal fat in it.

Your body needs protein to help build strong muscles, and it also helps you to feel full for longer. Protein is also used to balance meals to reduce the effect of insulin spikes that cause the sugar cravings, and there are many diets that recommend eating some protein, some carbohydrates, and some fats at each meal, with all foods being as healthy as possible. Meats, poultry and fish provide us with protein, and of these, fish is better for us. You can also get your protein from cottage cheese, or eggs (the egg whites are better for you than the yolks which are high in cholesterol).

Next we move onto carbohydrates where there are some that are very good for you, and others that are not. Fruits and vegetables are carbohydrates, and are definitely good for you, but sugar, or flour products are still carbohydrates, but are not good foods to be eating, they are refined products, and as such are not good for you.

By eating the healthy foods mentioned above, you will be eatng a diet that will help you lose body fat, but you do of course have to limit your intake. You cannot lose fat if you are eating way too many calories, so cut down your meal sizes, think about adding small healthy snacks in between your meals, and by eating less you will start to lose that body fat, and some exercising will help too!

Which are the best exercises to lose belly fat?

by admin on November 27, 2009

Exercising will help you lose belly fat, but not just any old exercise, you need to make sure that the exercises you are performing are done properly, and will help you to reduce that stomach fat. Of course, some of the exercises will achieve this better than others, so let’s see what will help you most.

Now, interval cardio training is the first type of exercise we’ll talk about for helping to lose belly fat. It is a type of cardio training that helps to boost your metabolic rate up the highest, so you burn more calories every day. Interval training means that you do an exercise, for example running for 5 minutes, then for 1 minute you increase your speed, then go back to the slower pace for another 5 minutes, before increasing your speed again for i, and so on. This is very effective in reducing your fat levels, but you do need to check with your doctor first to make sure that exercise of this kind is okay for you to perform. With this kind of cardio workout, you are not specifically targeting your stomach muscles, you are working to reduce all your body fat, and it is very effective when done properly.

Squats are very effective for burning belly fat as they work many muscles at the same time, so you increase the calorie burn during your workout. The squats will help you to build muscle mass, and as it is this mass which helps you burn more calories this too is good for losing stomach fat.
There is still some debate about whether sit ups are good for you, but they are still encouraged by most trainers as yet another exercise for burning belly fat. I have seen it recommended that weighted sit ups are even more effective, as it increases the intensity of the exercise, burning up even more fat for you.

Stomach vacuums are encouraged too. This is where you stand upright, and then suck in your stomach as hard as you can. Doing this trains the tummy muscles to contract and hold, which will be a big benefit as your belly loses its fat.

So, start your exercises to lose belly fat now, but don’t forget to eat a healthy diet as well – you will need good food to help you work your muscles!

Is there a best way to lose belly fat?

by admin on November 27, 2009

Many of us need to lose belly fat that has perhaps just built up slowly over a few years, but it doesn’t take long before that stomach fat grows even bigger. Try to stop the “middle-aged spread” as it is also called, as soon as you notice it, which should be early on, as clothes with set waist bands will no longer fit. That should be your wake-up call!

There are a few things you can do straight away to help yourself lose belly fat, and the first is very easy. Start your day with some exercise, before breakfast, so go for a brisk 30 minute walk or run, or use an exercise machine, but do something in an exercise and fitness program. This may sound strange, but by exercising early, you are setting yourself up to be active all day. Early exercise will energise you, and it’s a good way to reduce that belly fat.

Now the next tip you might not like at all, as we are suggesting that you avoid drinking alcohol. All alcoholic drinks are high in calories, some worse than others, of course, but the sugar in these drinks is not good if you are trying to lose your belly fat.

And you may not like this at all, as you need to stop with the junk food. Junk food has probably caused a lot of your belly fat as it is too fatty, with the wrong kind of fats, and way too many caloires. By eating junk food, you are probably over eating too, as junk food has a tendency to raise your appetite level. The result is that you want and eat even more junk food, and so the battle continues. So cut out junk food from your diet as soon as you can, and save yourself form putting on even more belly fat, while saving yourself some money.

Water is good for us, so drink plenty, and if you’ve heard of the water diet you could use that. The water diet encourages you to drink 64 ounces of cold water, 50 degrees fahreheit or lower each day. Your body will then have to use some energy to warm this water to the same temperature as the rest of your body. This doesn’t burn huge amounts of energy, but every little helps, right?

Try to reduce your stress level, and I know that that is far easier to say than do. Cortisol encourages your body to produce cortisol, a hormone that has been linked to the gain of weight, so try some relaxation techniques.

This next one is most important, whether you wnat to lose weight or not. You need to eat a balanced diet, one that is low in sugar, salt, adn other refined foods, but high in fibre, like fruits and vegetables. Whole grain cereals are also important to eat, and by eating these healthier foods, your blood sugar levels will be kept more level, and not cause the sugar spikes and hunger pangs that you will get otherwise. By getting control over your hunger, you will eat less, and reduce your belly fat.

Make sure you get enough sleep. People who are overtired often eat more to try to keep themselves awake, resulting in weight gain. By sleeping more, you have fewer hours to eat,and good sleep should help you to be more active during the day.

These are a few of the best ways to lose belly ft, and they are ways that you an start to use right now to lose some of your weight around your belly.
